Second Nature & Work In Progress In Action This Weekend

Hey everyone,
Just wanted to promote some of our buddy bands who are gonna be performing over the weekend.
  1. Our sister band "Second Nature" will be in action @ Rockfest 2007. Rockfest is an annual event org by CFA and Shears hall which features all the hall bands in NUS as well as some guest acts. Second Nature features Peroxide's very own Sham on guitar and Yee Kiat on bass. A write up on Second Nature is followed under this post. Second Nature will take stage 5pm @ UCC Courtyard on 10th March (Saturday) just before the "Conmen" from KR.
  2. "Work in progress" the acoustic band who includes Sri Lanka's Own SUPER STAR Surath (Winner of Star Dust 2006), Lin (Dubious Bros Lead singer), Shane (Reverie Lead Guitar), Ivan & Hanrong (KR Conmen) will be in action at UCC 645pm right after Rockfest on 10th March (Saturday). Second Nature's own Kim Ong will be guest vocalist for this session of Top 40 hits which promises to BLOW YOU AWAY!!!
  3. Second Nature will also be performing at NUS Open house on 11th March (Sunday) at 3pm at SRC.
Wow tough weekend for Kim and Second Nature. Anyway I urge all the Peroxide fans to go down and support. I have heard them at practices and I'm telling you... This the best I've heard them. Look out for a "Peroxide heavy" version of Zombie, a "Punked up" The Calling Cover and a Snow Patrol full of surprises....

Second Nature Write-up
Amidst a slew of alternative emo bands comes Second Nature from Eusoff Hall. So what makes this band so special? Paired with excellent instrumentation is 2 amazing vocalists, delivering powerful haunting melodies with a hard edge. Making up the sonic soundscape is Kim and Harsonal on vocals, Sham on lead guitar, Yee Kiat on bass guitar, Vinod and Joshua on percussion and Alina on keyboards.

The band's repertoire includes hard rock, alternative and punk but they aren't scared to incorporate different styles into their songs to get a unique multifaceted sound. Indeed the band is famous for mashing/merging/blending songs together and has turned a few heads with songs like "Chasing Yellow Cars" and "Bring Zombie Back to Life", transcending their own respective styles and showcasing musical synergy at its finest.
